Once upon a time, not so very long ago, I took a gender studies class.
This was my final project.
Enjoy.

Because love matters.
Because teaching children that all forms of love are valid matters.
The very point of the film is to tear down Batman’s toxic masculinity, to show that his isolation and his brutality aren’t good traits. It teaches kids that it isn’t wrong to rely on others, or to connect with them, or to be honest about their feelings.
That’s a huge win.
Not just for LGBTQ+ representation – though that is huge – but for everyone.
Because patriarchy, the thing that built the “homophobic nightmare,” hurts everybody.
And this?
This is progress.
So, this film?
I think it’s perfect.
